They started as Southside String Band, just for the benefit. But the combination, with Golden Winker on banjo, Steve Haberichter on mandolin and guitar, and Jason Smothers on bass, clicked, and they stayed together, making bluegrass music. Dave Dalessandro joined them this year, on guitar and fiddle, and they became Leadfoot. They’re all over Chicago now. Book them through Steve, at 773-552-5357.
