Still competing. First place Rougha Ghleas. Hammered dulcimer players in the Al Ireland compete in a
Òchoice of instrumentsÓ class. There have never been enough dulcimists to form
their own category. So IÕve found myself in competition with others on
chromatic mouth organ, fife, C-melody sax, banjo (prior to 1986 the perennial
winners), mandolin (until 1990 frequent winners), banjo-mandolins, musical saw
(!), recorders and such-like.
