Tunes To Learn - Some of us South Bend, Indiana session-eers decided to start circulating  recorded or written-out tunes amongst ourselves to invigorate our local sessions. This is my first submission: ten tunes, written out with chords, and recorded as MP3s by me on fiddle and piano, some with slower and faster versions. I practiced them just enough to get them on the recording; this is not "performance" quality. As they say, I'll learn them from the record. I figured it was not too much of a hassle to throw them on the auld Web site. You may download and/or duplicate them (as long as it's not for profit, if it's for profit contact me for use royalties) as long as you leave my name and contact info on the sheet music and credit the recordings to me. See "Liner notes" below for more provenance on the tunes. As you can see, this collection has a Donegal slant.

The Windmill - reel by Ciaran Tourish - PDF sheet music and chords, MP3 slower, MP3 faster

James Byrne Jig - from a renowned Donegal tradition-bearer - PDF sheet music and chords, MP3

Marry When You're Young - reel from John Doherty - PDF sheet music and chords, MP3 slower, MP3 faster

Finbar Dwyer Octave Reel - devilish but fun on the fiddle - PDF sheet music and chords, MP3 slower, MP3 faster

Glory Reel/ Heathery Cruach - two Donegal tunes once recorded by Altan - PDF sheet music and chords, MP3 slower, MP3 faster

The King's Jig - great multi-part jig - PDF sheet music and chords, MP3

Dermot McLaughlin's Favorite (jig) - Dermot is from Derry and this is a Donegal jig - PDF sheet music and chords, MP3 slower, MP3 faster

Pretty Peg/ Kit O'Connor's (reels) - two of my favorite Donegal reels - PDF sheet music and chords, MP3 slower, MP3 faster

The Sylph (jig) - a rare little jig descendant of an English jig, The Plymouth Lasses- PDF sheet music and chords, MP3

Two Mazurkas - The Irish Mazurka (Old Donegal Mazurka) and Sally Sloane's Mazurka from a legendary Australian tradition-bearer - PDF sheet music and chords, MP3 slower, MP3 faster
