The first
measures of the first and second lines substitute for each other. Fiddlers, learn this tune, and then learn it on
the bottom two strings! You can "double" the tune like they do in Kerry and Donegal.
If you put your first finger in between the "G" and "D" strings in the first
position (an A and E on these strings) sort of like a barre on the guitar it will enable you to play
the "rocking" parts easier. Then use your second and third fingers as you
used your first and second when you play the tune on the top two strings. |
